Checklist For Vehicle Transport

Like everything, knowledge is power! Transporting a car is no different! There are some simple tips that can make your Car Shipping experience safe and easy. The most important has to do with preparation. This can and will save time and money. It can also potentially cut down on the time it takes to inspect a car and will ensure that your Car Moving experience is a success. Car Shipping is concerned that our customers and have the best Auto Transporting experience as possible. To that end, here are some quick and painless tips to a successful Car Moving experience.

Vehicle Transport Tip #1:

Many Car Moving companies do not allow you more than 100 lbs of personal items a vehicle during Vehicle Shipping. These belongings should be in the trunk and not interfere with access to the drivers seat. Rremember, any personal items inside the vehicle will not be covered if they are lost or stolen during in transit.

Vehicle Transport Tip #2

Your vehicle will need to be inspected before Shipping. To make inspection easy, please make sure that the vehicle is clean. The exterior should have minimal dirt and the upholstery should be visible. Proper inspection of your vehicle is only for your benefit. If anything were to happen to you vehicle during Vehicle Shipping and it was not there when we tool possession, we at Car Shipping would take full responsibility. Another inspection will be administered before you take possession.

Vehicle Transport Tip #3

It is required that you have personal insurance on your vehicle. Typical Auto Transporting companies do not repair damages due to normal road conditions or conditions of nature. An example of that would be, if your car was damaged while sitting on a parking lot. Even if your vehicle was under the control of the auto transporter when the damage was done, your insurance would be responsible. The carrier is responsible only when the car is directly damaged by the Car Shipping company.

Vehicle Transport Tip #4

Make sure that your car only has a quarter of a tank of gas. No more, no less. This will be an adequate and acceptable amount for loading and unloading by the Vehicle Shipping company.

Vehicle Transport Tip #5

Most Auto Transporting companies apply an extra charge if your vehicle is "inoperable", has a camper shell, is lifted, is oversized, etc. There is a rule of thumb in Car Shipping - if it has anything on it that would make it harder to Shipping, you will probably be charged extra to transport it.

Vehicle Transport Tip #6

Make sure that you have two sets of keys. One for yourself and one for the Car Shipping company. This will make sure that the the Auto Transporting company has access needed to load and unload your vehicle. Also, make sure that both sets of keys unlock the doors and the ignition.

Vehicle Transport Tip #7

Disable all car alarm so that it does not get triggered during Shipping. This may cause you to accrew additional fees becasue your battery was dpleted.

Vehicle Transport Tip #8

Make sure that the driver has accurate phone numbers to reach you at all times. This will help the Vehicle Shipping company contact you in the unlikely even of an emergency. If the Car Shipping company cannot contact you, your car may be left at a terminal where it will may get charged additional fees.

Vehicle Transport Tip #9

Remember, that colder climates may require additional fluid such as antifreeze and windshield washer fluid before Transport. This will ensure that no part of the engine be harmed in sub freezing temperatures. The Car Shipping does not take responsibility for any problems of this nature.

Vehicle Transport Tip #10

Take a deep breath and relax. We at Car Shipping transport hundreds of vehicles every month all over the world. If you have taken the time to do your homework and follwed these simple steps before Vehicle Shipping your vehicle will be one hundred percent fine during Car Shipping.
